Canberra United W-League developments

The new Canberra United Coach is expected to be announced on Friday at MacKellar Stadium, a call for Assistant Coach and Team Manager will go out ASAP.

And players will be recruited ASAP after that.

And I'm expecting the TV deal to be announced this week as well. September is going to be a busy month for our new National side. First home game expected to be the first weekend in November. Watch this space!

    And I think the Matildas and Young Matildas are off to Asia again soon, although you would never be able to find out from the FFA site.

    The Matildas will now head home and turn their focus to the upcoming ASEAN Football Federation Women’s Championships which will be played in Vietnam in October this year.

    The squads, coached by Alen Stajcic (u-20) and Gary Phillips (u-17), are in the early stages of preparation for their respective 2010 world youth cup campaigns with Asian qualification matches due to start later this year.
