FNQ Official Mission for A-League

With all the talk of the A-League expanding I have been sent on an all expenses paid trip to review the possibility of an A-League team in Far North Queensland.

Interim report;

Port Douglas; Too hot for attacking football, too hot for the crowds and too hot for much of anything.

Coaches in suits? Won't happen.
Sweaty armpits? Will happen.
Water breaks? Needed every five or so.
Tropical downpours..could add to the fun, excitement of the league.
Will suit the slower, older, more experienced player.

And what a game in Gosford. 17,000 plus nine goals, and Mr. Experience, Tony Popovic wishing he was good enough to get a contract in Japan's...second division.

Still he's got experience!

Have a great few days, next post will be the radio show on Christmas day and then slowly the football speak will return....in more conducive climates.

A team in Townsville? Interim report, never mind the computer, says NO!

I have a feeling you don't like Tony Popovich................

Did he make fun of celtic?

Made fun of the term "modern defender," "Sydney FC," and a few other choice phrases I could summon.

Still he could yet prove me wrong but 8 goals against in two games including a few laughable entries early on in the season, Central Coast and Adelaide at home early on come to mind...

The juries in, he's been underwhelming...and he's signed for next year!!!

Another great signing for the future..he could yet bring Kossie down if he doesn't improve.
