Canberra to host AIS v VPL games this year

The Australian Institute of Sport Men's football side will play up to nine Victorian Premier League games in Canberra over the coming season.

Canberran Dane Milovanovic is in the squad that starts it's first VPL match of the season on Monday away to Whittlesea.

All home games will be played at the AIS where you can (hopefully) see the next Mark Viduka, Bruce Djite or Carl Valeri.

What about the next Nathan Caldwell or Robbie Cattanach? These players need love too. While I'd love a South road-trip up to Canberra chances are we probably won't get much further than Clarendon Street for our away game against the AIS.

Perhaps if New South Wales are afraid to take a Canberra team, Canberra need to think about having a team in the VPL.

Manly United Coach would love to see a Canberra team back in the NSWPL but NSW are afraid...imagine not having a team in NSWPL from Canberra...

State League..hardly....some very tiny minds running that organisation.
