Victoria move to Summer football....a new vision.

Ethnic clubs pushed aside...again? Is this the future for State Leagues football? NSW are you next?

FFV CEO Mark Rendell said,

The greatest change is the implementation of a new professional summer league taking in all 12 zones scattered across our state.

The league will be launched later this year.
That's 2008!

A low key launch, you're not kidding, but the Moonee Valley guide covered it well.

Hi Eamonn,

Haven't been here in the last 2 or 3 days, what with... nah, best not to say... but if you read certain other forums you could probably guess where i was.

anyway, here's 3 entries i did on the 'summer league'. from newest to oldest; an article i wrote which was published in neos kosmos english weekly; an analysis of a piece written by a supporter of the changes; and a pretty good rant. enjoy.

do you like pumpkins?

Not really Eamonn, nor pumpkin seeds either, too fiddly. I'm more a pasteli person, but the local nut people don't sell them anymore at the grounds. Why do you ask?
