Victory's Matthew Kemp ready for Asia
35,000 people are expected to rock the Dome when Melbourne Victory take on Korean Cup Winners Chunnam Dragons on Wednesday. Kick-off is live on Fox Sports at 7.30pm.
Victory have a favourable draw.
Read Matthew Kemp's thoughts below.
Home to the Dragons, away to the weakest team in the group Chonburi FC (Thailand) and then home to Gamba Osaka(Japan) in their first three group games.
Four points from the first two games would set up a mouth watering game against Gamba Osaka the group heavy weights.
Melbourne Victory defender Matthew Kemp knows it will be tough, "It's a different style to the A-League. They will have eleven players behind the ball at times on Wednesday. We know what to expect. The Asian sides are very quick, very good technical skills. And they put pressure on the ball all over the park.
"We'll need Danny Allsopp, Archie Thompson, Adrian Caceres and Nicky Ward to find space in and around the box and break them down. But it's up to the whole team to perform.
"There should be a great atmosphere, there is always a great atmosphere at the Dome, we get big crowds in Melbourne.
"We've had a break, then done a mini pre-season and we're ready to go.
"We want to get through to the next round.
"The travelling is tough, but the other teams will find it hard as well. Chunnam had a game on Saturday and then they have to travel to Melbourne so it won't be easy for them either," said Kemp.
