Matildas desperate to make American squad.

The Matildas gather in Sydney tonight to watch a private preview of SBS Documentary, 'Never Say Die Matildas.' And no doubt there will be oohs and aah's as they remember the historic World Cup 2007campaign. Show is due to go to air in May or June.


Tomorrow the Matildas head for Canberra, for the last camp,before the squad is chosen for the two games against women's football powerhouse USA at the end of the month.

Sally Shipard speaking from Brisbane yesterday said, "this camp will be very very competitive. The girls will be doing everything to get selected. I'm really looking forward to it. Everyone wants to make the trip to America."

A game is planned for Saturday morning against a local Under 15 boys side, kick-off 9:30am. (TBC)
