Ashleigh Sykes double in the West.

Canberra United trailed 2-0 in the West with ten minutes to go. Superstar Lisa De Vanna had scored after half-time to give Perth the two goal lead.

But Ashleigh Sykes, United's young striker scored two late goals and the points were shared.

Canberra are now in 5th place with four to play, a point outside the crucial top four.

Sydney, Queensland and Melbourne all at home but all are in the top four. It won't be easy.

Can Canberra do it? Sure, next week it's a do or die game with Sydney FC....and don't we love to beat Sydney:)

Well done CU and well done Ashleigh, maybe now your critics might have a better and more supportive view. A draw is better than a loss, cant wait for next weeks home game.

Hi,
Wasn't a good game, girls did pull together in the last 15 or so minutes BUT should have won this game. It was hard to watch some of the errors, but thats football, I was on edge of the seat in the last 15 mins hoping they would come back and they did but not enough. Very physical game and again poor ref. FFA need to do something about that! Looking forward to this weeks game and seeing the Sydney siders head home with their tail between the legs. GO CU!
