I just hope 20,000 people fill Canberra Stadium for the socceroos game. Surely if we can do that it will secure us a team. I haven't seen any ads on tv about it. This is a concern to me. Don't know how people will find out about it and buy tickets.
Hope for the best.

There's always a pivotal moment in any endeavour that will determine its success or failure.
I think this game represents that moment for our A-League bid.
We hold our own sword firmly with both hands. Let's hope we don't fall on it.
With ticket sales at v. encouraging levels already before any promotion has started...
reports of regional areas buying tickets..
people already booked from Sydney Melbourne etc
Green and Gold Army coming to the event and holding pre-game in Civic
Promotion to build up from this week
Pim to visit the week before the game
Socceroos in Camp in Canberra from Monday before the game...
word of mouth discussions and interest around town
I'm cautiously optimistic that this time our sword will not be needed...we'll see.
Spread the word of the game!
Why would anyone fork out good money to see the same side that failed to beat Indonesia playing against the 'might' of Kuwait?
That said, it's an Australia game, so a crowd of 25,000 should be a formality. But if most of those people are coming from Interstate, I don't see how this helps Canberra's A-League bid. More smoke and mirrors from Ivan and co?

Hi Mick
thanks for your comments.
No smoke and mirrors from Ivan and co.
The FFA gave Canberra the game, they linked and are interested to see the support for football in the region.
And if you read FFA CEO's comments in the above article they are clearly impressed by our bid todate.
Sure we all know a Socceroos game is different to an A-League team...but if you support football and want to see Socceroos games and A-League come to the region...show your support and go and watch the game.
Otherwise don't complain that we don't have a higher level of football in Canberra and SNSW.
