Now how good is this for Canberra? Lets say about 20 personnel for each team (players, coaches, parents etc) and we have approx 4,600 people in Canberra for junior / youth football and not all from Australia! That's got to be a top tourist dollar event.
It an excellent reason for Canberra based sponsors to shift their dollars to support our football clubs - all levels.
As to the ACT Government - well this just has to be another very good reason to refurbish our football grouds, because most are cabbage patches courtesy of too many being taken offline because of water restrictions. Then make some more of these wonderful resources available that are presently sitting idle growing weeds, rather than helping some mendacious developer make a cse for medium density housing.
The Kanga Cup is about people power. People playing football at teh community level from around the world. A real world cup!!!
