Aussies or Foreigners?
Big Bob Malcolm, Scottish, has pushed Aussie Luke DeVere out of Centre-Back for Brisbane. Why? He hasn't improved the leaking Roar defence has he?
Was young Aussie Luke so poor last year when The Roar did so well.
And the embarrasingly fat Charlie Miller takes much of young Mitch Nicholls game time.
Miller has skill, did he even train over the pre-seaon, but Nicholls also has skill and Nicholls can run.
Australia should not bring in overweight, foreigners, particularly when they replace our young local lads.
Get rid of them and give our young blokes a go. Especially those young guys who have already proved themselves at this level.

Last week Miller started instead of Nicholls because the roar could lose more than 5 players to young socceroos duties shortly. They wanted Miller to get use to starting for when they leave. I think the roar have been one of the best teams for developing young players.
Well I agree they have but moving De Vere out from Centre-Back makes no sense to me.
I know he could be off to the Young Socceroos as well but still not sure Bob Malcolm is a solution..is there no-one else in Queensland/Australia who could cover for De Vere...should he get selected.

You're not just letting your anti Rangers bias come to the surface there Eamonn? Not the first time you've bagged Charlie Miller or Bob Malcolm from memory.
I'll agree, neither of them look fit, nor particularly like sportsmen at all, but in Miller's case, it can probably be overlooked. Despite his somewhat rotund physique, he still managed to be voted best import in the league last season was he not?
I don't like it much either but if Farina's actions this season reflect past seasons he will hold the youth back until the last possible moment, when the fans are screaming murder at him, then unleash the youth, taking teams by surprise and resulting in a fresh run of goals and form.
Now Frank has failed in his stated objective of winning silverware by last season, and this season isn't looking great, despite yesterday's win, but to be fair he nearly made it twice, partly by the above formula. This fan is willing to be patient yet again.
