O'Connor Knights shocked the Canberra football community with a 3-2 win.

Russ Gibbs reporting for the Nearpost said, "The underdogs O'Connor Knights have claimed the Federation Cup for the first time in their history with a surprise 3-2 victory under the floodlights at Belconnen Soccer Club.

"Goals from Ben Barac, Goran Veljanovski from the penalty spot,and substitute Moshen Ravanparsa counted out John Glass' opener for Canberra FC. Alex Castro's 93rd minute was no consolation for beaten side."
