Outstanding signing for Melbourne Victory
Hats off to Melbourne Victory.
Melbourne Victory today announced one of the most significant player acquisitions in the short history of the club, with 25-year-old Costa Rican international Carlos Hernandez signing a two-year loan deal from Costa Rican giant LD Alajuelense.
The highly regarded attacking midfielder, nicknamed Zorro (The Fox), fills the gap in the roster left by Fred’s departure to D.C. United after Version 2 of the Hyundai A-League.

This is an excellent signing on a number of levels. Hernandez will light up the A-League, similar to Fred last season. Victory will continue to produce exciting flowing football which will thrill their growing supporter base.
Also it gives Victory a real chance to go one better, than Australian clubs did this year, in the Asian Champions League next season,
And with Hernandez and Ljubo Milcivic at Melbourne Victory, Agostino (Adelaide United) Danny Tiatto (Queenlsand Roar) Nick Rizzo (Perth Glory) Dean Heffernan (Central Coast Mariners) and more expected to come, the A-League looks set to add to its quality of play in the coming season.
