AFC! What a shocker!

In the recent Young Matildas game v DPKR Korea with the game locked at 1-1 a Korean Assistant Coach ran onto the pitch to claim a penalty for his team.

The Referee 50 metres away from the offence, under pressure from the Coach, gave a penalty.

Australia put in a protest.

The AFC did not change the result, did not fine the Coach, discipline the DPKR Korea team or organisation.

Why?

What message does it send to World Football, to DPKR Korea.

The AFC are still a long way from an efficient sporting organisation, such appalling lack of strength is a continuing worrying trend.

What can only surmise that for some reason DPKR Korea are so powerful within the women's game that the AFC are powerless to act.

And a minor note but equally appalling a DPKR Korea is alleged to have spat on a Young Matilda in a hotel some days after the game!

Maybe the AFC's decision-making body lends strength to the Korean's individual behaviours.

And worryingly the Olyroos have to make the trip to DPKR Korea in the coming weeks.

It won't be easy.

I'm disappointed but not surprised. While I love the game, it's run in the most appalingly corrupt fashion.
