SydneyFC v Melbourne Victory
Canberrans Grace McGrath-Gill and Lydia Williams start their Asian Cup campaign with the Young Matildas tomorrow in China. Good luck to them. Lydia is the Captain and was back-up keeper in the women's World Cup, so she should be talking Chinese by they time she gets home...oh and she has a broken wrist, but she is still gooing to play!
Great to see Mark Bosnich on Total Football last night. Whatever your opinions of Bozzo I think it's fantastic to see someone able to turn their addictions around. Well done Bozzo and he's on the bench for QPR this weekend in England!
Wish I could turn my addictions round so easily, but that's another story:)
Sydney FC's Ruben Zadkovich was on Totatl Football last night. Articulate, thoughtful and sensitive. A very different image from the one he presents of the pitch. He said FC Coach Anthony Crea stirs up the boys and ensured they gave Danny and The Roar boys a good kicking in the first few minutes. It worked well as Ruben got, "stuck in early."
Scott McDonald scored in the last minute to give Celtic a win over AC Milan. Who? The Champions of Europe were defeated by an Australian goal. Eat your heart out Craig Foster:)
Sydney FC are inviting fans to come dressed for the occasion. The best dressed fans for the Melbourne gameon Saturday night will get th chance to do the toss with David Beckham in front of 85,000 fans. Only 3,000 tickets left. Great idea Sydney. Somehow they have to convert some of those 85,000 into regular Sydney fans. I'd settle for 25,000 every week at Aussie Stadium. Let's hope they get over 20,000 this week.
And the win..to Sydney 2-1, but the ref must protect Juninho.
I do not want to see Kevin Muscat and co kick the skill and Brazilian out of this and coming games.
