From Belconnen United to Greenock Morton

It's not often we mention Greenock Morton on this blog.

But Belconnen United keeper Ben Cheyne is in Scotland training and playing with Morton, in the Scottish First Division.

Unfortunately Ben got an injury to his quad during the recent International break. He hopes to be back and between the posts soon.

I know Canberra's football community will wish him wellonhis adventure and I'll keep you posted on his developments.

Good luck Ben, especially with the Scottish winter coming on!

This from the Scotsman newspaper:

Three tussle for Cheyne

MOTHERWELL, Morton and Clyde are battling it out to land Australian goalkeeper Ben Cheyne. The 24-year-old is currently training with the Cappielow side, but Mark McGhee's Fir Park outfit and Colin Hendry's Clyde are also in the chase for the free agent.
