Asia money rolls in.

The $$$$ Benefits of Asia.

Slowly but surely the revenues from Asia are starting to roll in. Australia earned $3million from the Iraq game, added to $3 million from the Qatar game....

With 40,000 tickets already sold for the China home game to be played in Sydney at the end of June that should be around $10 million from three World Cup Qualifiers.

And then the wee payout from the Argentina 70,000 plus crowd last spring.

And of course we will qualify for the next World Cup stage.

That should mean four more home games. Against the likes of Japan, South Korea, Uzbekistan and our old friends Iran. With Sydney and Melbourne expected to host most games that should mean another $16 million into the coffers.

I know there are plenty of expenses, but we've never had this consistent revenue flowing into the FFA or any of the previous football administrations.

And, of course, the qualification games will never go away.

Who would have thought Iraq, Qatar and the like could draw a crowd of 50,000. Add the term World Cup Qualifier and suddenly we all want to see these tense, great football battles.

And will the Asia Cup Qualifiers bring in the same crowds? Maybe not. But if we have qualified for South Africa and play a couple of home games before we leave for the World Cup, they probably will.

Let the good times roll.

The revenue, added to the Fed Govt's dollars plus the increased sponsorship of mainstream Australian companies mean this code is flying, and more importantly secure like never before.

Come the revolution, we can drop the Player Levy to Grassroots players:)
