There is an obvious lure for young players to the European leagues due to the promise of playing and earning big money.
However, in the case of the EPl, if there academies are so good why do the best teams have very few english players in their top squads.

You don't have to go to Europe as a teenager to make it. Viduka, Emerton, chipperfield, Swarzter, Culina are examples of players who matured in the Australian environment.
